Relationships
We live our lives in relationships. All relationships are about union and
separation, projection and forgiveness. We are awakened internally in
relationships by becoming familiar with our shadow. Our shadow is made up of
parts (such as anger, sadness, neediness, aggression fear, sexuality, etc.)
of our being that we experience as unacceptable. Sometimes our shadow can be
rooted in shame (Shame says, that, no matter what I do, I am always
defective. Guilt is that, when I do something wrong, I can make amends, and
things will be right again.) Therefore all counseling or therapy is about
healing in relationships. We can be hurt in relationships and we can heal in
relationships.
Our thoughts and decisions about life come from relationships. We then have feelings and generate belief systems about how life treats us. If you have a pattern of dysfunctional relationships, then you live in a dysfunctional, unconscious, hypnotic trance.
"Relationships don’t die; they are destroyed by unconscious behaviors.”
